23 Days of Thanksgiving {Printables} !!

Let The Little Ones Come to Me Printables

"Bringing Children to Christ One Verse at a Time"

I wanted to share with you a NEW set of Printables that I have created just in time for THANKSGIVING! Is it too early??!!  NEVER!!  For those of you who like to have everything printed out and ready for the new month, this set of printables is perfect!

The focus of this set is to prepare the hearts of our children (as we enter into this new season of GIVE ME, GIVE ME, GIVE ME, I WANT, I WANT, I WANT!) to be thankful for what they have and to always look to God.  I created this because I wanted to really focus my sons'  hearts to see everything we have as a blessing and what we don't have doesn't mean we are not blessed.  During November I will be focusing on being thankful and giving.

The set includes: 23 copy work bible verses, a calendar, a few coloring pages.  All come in black and white and color and in manuscript and script. 64 pages in total!

If you would like to see the other pages please visit my shop here.

Below I created some FREE coloring pages that can be used with the 23 Days of Thanksgiving set.

Let The Children Come to Me PRINTABLES!!

Let The Children Come to Me Printables

"Bringing Children to Christ One Verse at a Time"

I am so excited to share with you my new printables!  To be honest I love creating printables; I could be at my computer for hours just creating and creating!  Anything to help my boys!  So I would like to share them with you.

A couple of weeks back I had started creating printable to go along with my CTB and announced that I was no longer able to do so.  Many moms were saddened by the news because FREE copy work is so HELPFUL when homeschooling.

I decided to continue to make printables for my own use (at home), but kept thinking of all you mom's out there. So I decided to make a new set of bible verse copy work that can be used if you are using CTB (Child Training Bible), or any other bible study with your children.  You can use these for your morning devotionals as well.  My reason for doing this is basically - I LOVE THE WORD - I WANT MY CHILDREN TO LOVE THE WORD - AND - I WANT TO SHARE THE WORD!

I believe with all my heart what the Word commands us to do in Deuteronomy 11:18-20

18 So keep my words in your hearts and minds. Write them down and tie them on your hands as a reminder. Also tie them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home. Talk about them when you walk along the road. Speak about them when you go to bed. And speak about them when you get up.20 Write them on the doorframes of your houses. Also write them on your gates.

These printables are NOT of the bible verses used in the CTB, but they can be used with them or on their own.

LLOCM - Discouragement CopyWork
I pray you are blessed and feel free to send others this way to print them!

What to do on Halloween?

Halloween in right around the corner.  Since my second son was almost two, this time of year has never been easy.  Why??  Well, my son was turning two in September and since every store, restaurant, gas station!!!, you name it, starts celebrating Halloween months before, this became a huge deal in our family.

When my husband and I married we never talked about what we would do on this day because we had no children.  Also because my husband never grew up celebrating Halloween (he is not from the USA).  Once we had our first child, we didn't talk about it much, didn't think we needed to.  During that time I was a Sunday School Director of our old church, so I was concerned more with what we would do as a church.

A year or so passed and our second child arrived.  Still did not think much of it.  We figured the kids don't understand anyway!!  BUT, when I went into a Party City to buy some Birthday decor for my sons 2nd Birthday, at the end of August, I began to get concerned.  It took my son's fear to wake my husband and myself up.  In the store they had gone all out for Halloween.  As I was walking by one of the aisles one of those scary, movable, mechanical men, started moving and yelling and accidentally touched my baby boy.  IT WAS COMPLETE FEAR that came over him.  He yelled that he wanted to leave.  SO I left everything in the cart and walked out with him in my arms in tears.  I could not go to many places because of the Halloween decorations! To this day, it is the same! He really does not like seeing Halloween decorations.

Is this the reason we don't celebrate Halloween?  Absolutely NOT!  It is not even part of the reason!!  I know that may seem surprising and it might be a good enough reason not too, but it's just not the reason!  So what is the reason our family does not celebrate Halloween? or celebrate any SUBSTITUTION to Halloween?

My husband and I have come to the decision that we only celebrate holidays that HONOR and Glorify CHRIST.  We believe and know that Halloween in no way honors God.  We have read much in-depth about the origins of Halloween and choose not to be part of its celebration.  So what do we do?  Do we hide in our homes and not answer the door?  Absolutely NOT!!

The Bible says,

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. ~ Psalm 118:24

We have taught our boys that every day is a day that God has created and we need to glorify Him.  We teach them to thank God for everyday and all that He does and gives us in that day.  Halloween is something that is celebrated on a day that God has made.  So we honor God, while the world does differently. The Bible tells us to flee from the very “appearance” of evil. Jesus hung out with the sinners, but he didn’t participate in the activities. He preached his Fathers’ word and encouraged sinners to cease from their wordly ways and give their heart to Christ.

Our family dedicates that day to evangelize and share Jesus.  Our boys help to make or fold tracts.  We talk about being a light to the world, just as Jesus taught us to be.  In no way do they miss the whole dressing up or getting candy!  These are OUR CONVICTIONS.

Bible verses to read : Ephesians 5:7-12, 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22, James 1:27, 3 John 1:11, Romans 12:9, 2 Corinthians 6:14-17, 1 Corinthians 11:1, 1 Corinthians 10:31, James 4:7-8, Romans 13:12,

I wanted to share a PRINTABLE that we use to hand out if we are out or at home when the door bell rings.  Just fold it as a booklet. I made it in color and black and white.  I pray it will bless you and you will be able to use it to spread Jesus to your neighborhood / community.

Once again, these are our family convictions and what we do with OUR FAMILY.

CTB Copywork NO LONGER AVAILABLE!

Hello all!

I am back to let you know that I was requested by the creator of CTB (Child Training Bible) to not continue to make the CTB Scripture available each week for copy work.  Since the Child Training Bible Scripture selections are a copyrighted compilation, I was asked to not reprint them on my blog.  I am sorry for the trouble this may have caused.

My in intention was in no way to go against copyright regulations.  I just wanted to share something that would have helped other families in their study of the Word with their children.

Once again, I am sorry! :0(

BUT, if there are any changes I will let you know.  And if I do make my own printables with "random" "off the tabs" bible verses I will share!

Thank you for understanding! God bless you all!

The Word of God in our Children

Hello!!

I know it has been a L-O-N-G while since I last posted.  I have missed writing and creating, but at this time in my life my family must come first.  NOW that does not mean I won't be here, it just means that I won't be here everyday!

So what I have been up to... well LOTS!!

School has been in full session since August.  We have been changing some things in the school room (I will post pics. as soon as it's all finished!) The boys have been playing soccer, will soon start Art classes, I have been helping my husband and organizing the home.  What I am super excited about is that I have been up in the mornings to have my quiet time with the Lord (I will tell you what I am doing in another post).

There is something that I wanted to share with you that the Lord has been speaking to me about.  That is ... the Word of God in my children's heart.  I firmly believe it is never to early to teach our children the Word of God.  It is never to early to teach them to seek God through His Word.

Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  ~ Deuteronomy 11:19

The Lord tells us to constantly talk (recite, confess) His word to them, practically the whole day!

Now, we might say, "but my kids just don't understand what it means!" or "are they really listening?" or "I feel like I am talking to a wall, when I trying to teach them the Word!" and my "favorite", "I JUST told them what not to do using the Word, AND THEY FORGOT!!"

God did not say that it would be instantly learned, that is why the Word says,
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. ~ Joshua 1:8~

Even we need to hear it, read it, apply it over and over.  HOW MUCH MORE OUR CHILDREN!

The results may not be today or tomorrow.  They may not understand it today or tomorrow, but you are sowing the WORD of GOD in your children and it will bear fruit!

so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. ~Isaiah  55:11

IT WILL NOT RETURN EMPTY!! All that you sow into your children will reap a PURPOSE! The PURPOSE of GOD for their life!

I encourage you not to give up!  Continue sowing the Word of God in your children's lives!  One day you will see the FRUIT!

I want to take this moment to share with you the CTB (Child Training Bible) Online Bible Study.  It is where mothers are taking time to study the Scriptures and teaching it to our children for 21 weeks.  If you would like to join the community of parents doing the study click here.  Every tab of the CTB will be studied.

If you would like to know more about CTB you can read "Child Training Bible Review"

Now for what I want to share with you! I have been creating copy work to go along with the CTB.  Since this week we will be studying the "ANGER" Tab, the copy work is all the bible verse about ANGER.  You are free to use them as you like.  I pray that they are a blessing to you.  If you would like extra bible verse on anger, please leave me a comment below!

Each week I will offer the copy work for the TAB that will be studied.  You can come back each Monday to print the weeks copy work.

God bless you!

For His Glory and By His Grace,
Monica
